c/o Supertraditional
The wonderful Swedish record label Supertraditional has a monthly newsletter that you should subscribe to if you know Swedish… or want to learn. One of their founders is my friend Sara Parkman, who was an early guest here on Plays Softly.
Today, the circle is completed as I guest in their newsletter, sharing a playlist of ten songs without any particular theme other than being ten great songs that, at least for me, bring much-needed comfort and energy. You can find the playlist here, on Spotify.
The songs are, in this order:
P.A. Dub by Vivien Goldman
Who Makes Your Money by Spoon
Yezemed Yebada by Ibex Band
Time Hard by The Pioneers
I’m Coming With Lovin’ On My Mind by Swamp Dogg
More Than A Woman by Aaliyah
Warm Blood by Carly Rae Jepsen
Something Wrong In Paradise (Larry Levan Mix) by Kid Creole And The Coconuts… and Larry Levan
Dolby Sisters Saliva Brothers by Lizzy Mercier Descloux
&
Computer Incantations for World Peace by Jean-Luc Ponty
Hope life is treating you well,
J
