Addendum #1
Today marks the release of Anna von Hausswolff’s new album ICONOCLASTS and it is – after a day of listening – something tremendous. If you, like me, use the sometimes stroke-inducing streaming service Qobuz, you can listen to it here. If Spotify, you find the album here. Whatever app you use, please find time to listen to the album in its entirety. It is something else, and, perhaps, a good argument for letting creation take some time. Seven years in the making, I am certain it will last at least a hundred. Speaking of time, I’ll leave you with some favorite lyrics from the grade-A hit song Aging Young Women:
Let it go, let it be
Just take that flight, and make a decision to leave
All the soil in this maze
I wanna put it in a state of grace
And we, getting older by the hour
And every year, we have more fear
Oh, that the dream of the future
Oh, will slowly disappear
I hope you are all well and loved,
Jacob
