It’s true: 2022 is closing, and soon.
This year has been a lot of work, which thankfully there will be a lot less of in 2023. But there’s also been a lot of 👆 this 👇, meaning Plays Softly. 42, to be exact – the meaning of a bunch of things, including life.
Thank you for subscribing, listening and the occasional note of appreciation. It means a lot.
To celebrate the closing of 2022 and the 42 issues we’ve made so far, here are 42 songs that have been playing softly as I’ve worked, lived, laughed (loved, prayed, chocolate, Lasse Hallström, young DiCaprio, dogs or animals, soft fades, etc) during the year. Who knows if they are the best of the year; I certainly don’t, and don’t really care. They’ve been released, I’ve enjoyed them, and I think you will, too.
Bisou,
Jacob
P.S. next week sees the arrival of 2022 Plays Softly pt 2, with songs chosen by some of the contributors from the year. Note: I will not repeat the lizard ceremony/catastrophe from last year. Instead, this year will be all about snakes. Tune in next Friday at 10:00 AM (Swedish time) as five (5) lucky subscribers will leave with one Madagascar tree boa snake each.
